Our most ambitious project to date, the Lily Pad is currently a community garden and gathering space on a 25,000 square foot lot at Dale Street and Lafond Avenue.

 

The Lily Pad includes several large urban farm plots; a large composting system; rainwater harvesters; pollinator and rain gardens; a picnic area, and our urban tree nursery. Taken together, the space showcases easy and affordable ways in which we can all address the most pressing problem of our time: climate change.

 

The Lily Pad demonstrates that household level actions, like composting, planting trees, growing vegetables, planting habitat and conserving water, can give Frogtown residents a sense of agency while building the community's resilience.
